With version 3, we will be changing the name of the programs from yyyZTools to IRA Tools to more accurately reflect what the programs are designed to do. The desktop version and the online version of the IRA Tools programs are both available to registered users. Both applications produce identical reports and both save your client's information. Registered users are automatically updated with current treasury interest rates and the published 120% Mid-Term Rates. The programs also continue to have buttons to load and use the current maximum published rate. To make it easier to know what interest rate to use if your plan starts (the rates below would have appeared during January 2009) next month instead of this month, we have added a paragraph on the input page and the explanation report page that appears similar to...
Estimated Maximum Interest Rates for 72(t) & 72(q) SEPP Plans where the initial distribution occurs during the following time periods: 01/01/2009-01/31/2009: 3.57% | 02/01/2009-02/28/2009: 3.43% | 03/01/2009-03/31/2009: 2.48%
Changes to the Online Application
Changes to both the Online & Desktop Applications
Program Requirements: The programs require Microsoft's .Net 3.5 framework. If your computer is missing .Net 3.5 or any other system dependencies, they will be installed with the IRA Tools program. You can also just do a update from the Microsoft website at http://WindowsUpdate.Microsoft.Com or in windows 7 and Vista by using the normal system updates and looking for updates related to the .Net 3.5 framework.
Windows 7 and Windows Vista - After Installation: The installation program will place an icon on your desktop. After installation, right click on the icon and select Properties. From the ShortCut tab, select Advanced. Place a check in the checkbox labeled Run as Administrator. Click Ok. Click Ok. Now when you click on the icon, your will be running the programs as an Administrator.
